Oscar Flores, Video Productions for All Stages Marketing

Oscar Flores is a Santa Barbara native with a deep passion for video production and photography.

He began his ascension into the world of filmmaking at Santa Barbara High School when he became the Chief Editor for the school’s weekly video news bulletin. Oscar graduated with a degree in Film Production from Santa Barbara City College and quickly stood out from the crowd at UC Santa Barbara where his avid skills as a filmmaker and editor gained him a job as supervisor at UCSB’s Video Production Services to teach courses to professors and students alike on how to use Apple’s Final Cut Pro editing software as well as video shooting techniques.

After attaining a BA degree from UCSB in Spanish and Chicano Studies, Oscar’s next venture into the world of video production led him to a job as a news videographer and editor at Univision. Currently Oscar works as a News Video Journalist at KEYT, the local ABC affiliate where he has covered major events including the recent Santa Barbara fires as well as red carpet events at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival interviewing Hollywood giants such as James Cameron, Harrison Ford, and Annette Benning. Oscar also served as KEYT’s Digital Consultant during their transition from analog tapes into the digital world.

In his spare time from KEYT and projects with All Stages Marketing, Oscar runs his own local community news blog and continues to cover news events with KNBC alumni Doug Kriegel for AOL’s Sherman Oaks Patch through video, pod casts and still photography.

There’s just something special about the art of creating something out of nothing from motion pictures that gives me a deep personal satisfaction when completed, only making that satisfaction greater when my creation is used to educate people on a subject they were not aware of.
